I think it makes sense for smoke to be there. Sweet wouldnt miss his own mothers funeral, asked smoke to wait for CJ, who by phone call, they knew he was coming back. He didn't arrive when expected, so as not to miss the funeral, they went and either smoke volunteered, or was asked to wait for CJ. CJ then enters the house, dead silent, having flash backs and doesnt announce himself. Smoke sitting in a house that was recently lit up and abandoned. It makes sense he would be on edge.

Its always strange for me to see gameplay footage of PS2 GTA games without cheat codes enabled. No armor, having to rely on those hidden health powerups, only one gun and a bat to complete a mission. It was actually the 1st thing I did when I started GTA 3. I had a GamePro magazine with a bunch of codes and had never even played the previous games. I still have some of those button inputs memorized.

I recall Rockstar saying that Claude is an intentionally vague character because they’re meant to be *just* an audience avatar - whatever is there for Claude is up to the player to project onto. Me, I like to think that Claude eventually left Liberty, but *not* before starting an airing other syndicates deal with the Cartel, Leone’s and Yardies. Because on one hand, he has too many enemies to stay in Liberty, but also it’s not like he can just leave without looking over his shoulder. Rockstar also described him as a drifter so it’s unlikely he’ll stay in one place, but I still think he’d tie loose ends before retiring. As for Maria, I lean to him sparing her. While she caused his falling out with the Leone’s, her connections got him involved with the Yaskuka, Donald Love, etc - and unlike Toni, Maria didn’t seem interested in Claude for money - meaning Claude benefited more from her. I like to imagine he settled with her after retiring; compare/contrast with Michael and Amanda, they have a considerably more stable life together than the latter two.

My idea is for the short future of gta 3 is claude kills maria and simply just continues his life in liberty city the same as nefore and sees what else he can do just for money. This makes sense since after the credits you continiue to play the game as normal. Which sounds dumb since you do that in all the games but the fact it looks like claude could have moved on with a happy life just to be in the same spot as before seems to fit the idea well Now for the far future. Probably claude lived in liberty city his whole life or just does the same thing in various citities or even goes back to los santos

This fucked me up. I chose deal coz i wanted roman to have the wedding and honeymoon he wanted with Malorie and coz that’s what he asked nico to choose. And I wanted Nico to have some redemption and let go of his grudge for Dimitri (no matter how much I think Dimirtri should die) I didnt know following Roman’s advice of taking the deal would cost him his life. Would do things over again and let pegorino kill Katy 100x.

Claude had nothing but enemies by the end of GTA 3. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a bounty put on his head and died shortly after or more likely ended it himself. In either case I don’t see Claude living or wanting to live for very long after getting his revenge

There's a lot of possibilities really. If you take Claude's character into deep intuitive recognition he probably did kill Maria. If CJ were to get her out of Salvatore's cluthes along with Ken Rosenberg, Maccer and Kent Paul and Maria didn't "marry" Salvatore, all of this could've been avoided.

I think Claude just went off the grid on account of the crews after him. I don’t think he would’ve rescued Maria just to kill her and ironically if he did he’s no better than Catalina because he shot his own partner for no good reason. Maria did get Claude into trouble but she also saved his life.

Up until this point, I can sum up 2 reasons why Rockstar wanted Johnny K and the Lost MC dead: 1) The Lost and Damned was a disapointment. It was dark, dull, and gritty. Both the story and the atmosphere. Like, literally, they put the gray filter in this expansion pack, and everything feels... lifeless. It was even worse than the "piss" filter in the main GTA IV. TLAD also had the least missions of the 3 games, and the off-mission activities were also very limited. Basically, the players have nothing to root for other than the fact that Johnny K was a tough guy. 2) GTA V needed an entrance. Trevor needed an entrance. Combined with the point above, Johnny K and the Lost MC had become the best thing to throw away. Of course I also believe that Rockstar was indeed sloppy when they brought back the MC, brought Johnny and Ashley back together, and turn him into a meth-head wimp. Obviously, at the end of TLAD, everything was concluded completly differently: the Lost MC was no more, Johnny and Ashley were no more because dude was a disciplined person, having a code of not touching drugs. A guy like that ending up in what we see in GTA V just doesn't make any sense.
